Since 2009, Hakola Berry Farm has had a farm shop. In the beginning, it was a cash register for self-picking berries and a honey sales point. Self-picking customers requested a café and new farm products for sale. The professional qualification in beekeeping encouraged us to start making beeswax candles, and we began processing the berries into jams and cold-pressed juices. By Christmas 2010, we had already made mulled wine sweetened with our own honey. We packaged Christmas gifts beautifully. This is how the farm's small-scale value-added production began, and the product range has gradually expanded.
