Welcome to our peaceful countryside to indulge in freshly baked buns, delicious cakes, savory pastries, coffee, and herbal tea. Freshly baked is a matter of pride for us! We don’t freeze or store anything, as we always bake everything specifically for your visit! During your visit to our café, you can enjoy petting the sheep, watching the chickens scratch around, hearing the buzzing of the bees, exploring wild herbs, visiting rotating art exhibitions, enjoying the scents and greenery, or simply experiencing the lightness of being.

Grater, Knife, and Whisk.

The last apples I pick, only after the autumn wind has carried away the last leaf.

Carrots that smell of summer and the strength of the earth. I swipe my hand across my thigh to take a bite, wash, peel, however – grate and love.

Ginger, cinnamon, and almond take my thoughts from the handle of the whisk to where the sun shines when all I can see from my window is a yard whipped by the rain. I sniff and dream.

Flour puffs the air with autumn’s best scent – the warm ripeness of grain spinning in the dryer.

Lingonberry, the tartness of autumn mixed with the remnants of summer’s warmth and the colors of the fall foliage.

Cranberry, wild from the swamp, a remedy for cold fingers.

Toffee, the taste of childhood, burning my fingers and tongue when I scrape it from the side of the pot.

Delicacies according to the season

The seasons play a major role in our café.

We gather wild herbs fresh every morning from April to October for every pie. Because THE WILD HERB PIE has taken on a life of its own and is made year-round, we dry the herbs for the pies throughout the winter.

The cakes get their flavor and inspiration from berries, celebrations, and the changing of the seasons. In the fall, bold flavors like plum, apple, chocolate, and root vegetables take center stage. Spring tastes fresh, with sea buckthorn and rhubarb.

Even buns have their own seasons, although cinnamon rolls must always be available. The Shrovetide bun gives way to skiing-season doughnuts, and around Easter, curd buns are a spring treat before moving on to the summer's berry-filled bun pies. In the fall, as Christmas approaches, gingerbread dough, dark chocolate, and dried fruits start sneaking into the buns...

Sit down to catch up or relax in your own peace

The café has table space across two floors. On a café day, you can sit downstairs and chat with the locals and other customers. Upstairs, you can find peace and quiet by yourself or with your group, whether you’re sitting, having a meeting, doing crafts, or working with the help of coffee and cake. During the summer, the large terrace offers an inspiring countryside view.

Open every day, if needed

In the summer, the café is open daily from the beginning of July until the start of school, except on Mondays. In December, there are more open days, but from February to November, we are open on Fridays and Saturdays. For other days, you can book private events, meetings, parties, or small gatherings outside of opening hours. Feel free to contact us!

The morning always starts anew

We bake everything from scratch!

Baking starts in the morning with the raw ingredients: organic flour and berries, real butter and cream, sugar, honey, eggs... And every single café morning, we repeat the same process, because we want to offer only the freshest, made from fresh ingredients.

Art exhibitions

We have space for art! The two floors of our café offer plenty of wall space. The rotating art exhibitions make a visit to the café a refreshing experience for all the senses. The first exhibition was brought to us by the Art Group Kulööri, which has held three exhibitions here. We’ve also had solo exhibitions by Elina Vikman and Jaana Pärssinen.

An exciting exhibition year awaits in 2025, with the fall exhibitions to be announced later. In April, we’ll dive into the enchanting world of From Behind the Water – Stories from Seili Island, through the illustrations of Ingrid Amarouche, the book's illustrator. In May, we’ll host Venla Uotila Art’s first solo exhibition, featuring both strong colors and the delicacy of nature. In June and July, we’ll enjoy the watercolor works of Minna Koskela.

Special diets

In our café, we always consider lactose-free and vegan options. We also have a wide selection of gluten-free baked goods, but it’s important to note that we prepare gluten-containing products in the same space. If you have any other dietary restrictions, please let us know in advance and guide us. We can make special treats just for you upon reque

Sometimes, you can't manage everything that's on the table

There should at least be seven different kinds of treats on the coffee table, usually even more. We try to accommodate the most common special diets, but it’s a good idea to confirm more unique requests in advance. Feel free to share your wishes!

From our café, you can buy products to take home for evening coffee or as a gift for a friend, if your eyes are still hungry but your stomach can’t take any more.
